Behold, a character revamp.
First some basic information.
Old Tricorn design was originally a request from the beginning of 2006 (a waaay back when I even made some free art for people...no hope anymore). Asked thing was - in all simpliness - oriental dragon. I told I'd finish it before end of the year...during that time the person who asked it, disappeared...but I did that thing anyway. Then I had a random character without meaning until it became officially son of the fresh water spirit
Kuohu. ... Anyway. Old art piece had many things I didn't like (after all I hadn't thought whole design any carefully because it was not even meant to be anything special...so it was just very lame general white oriental dragon thing), like those ridiculous whiskers (now he has really cute whiskers) and the fact he was meant to be just "random oriental dragon". So now here's revamp, not oriental but at least a half dragon (his father's design is ffffinally somewhat decided and just needs colours).
Tricorn is a half-spirit, his father was ice dragon
Aurgelmir. His bodyshape is remarkably more slim than his father but still a bit more robust than his mother. Tricorn's body is not too flexible, he can't do as flowy movements as Kuohu. He still loves swimming and his fur is waterproof. Two long sashes are continuously growing keratinous ornaments. They don't do anything fancy. Tricorn must be careful, he can get tangled with them if he makes spinning movements.
Tricorn had carefree personality, even a bit childish. It took a lot of time before he matured. He never managed to do anything seriously stupid, his father had a strict "anti-idiotic" policy and made sure Tricorn got punished from every idiotic drive.
Liner, colour pencils.
(Why I can't abandon my characters no matter how old and dull they can be...)
I love the blue horns and sashes more this time; they look like they're glowing even though I don't think they're supposed to? But I think it's quite a cool effect :>
Those sashes are natural? Wow, nice. ^.^
