It continues finally. *dances* Took only a half year. xp

Part 1 of this story.
Better to read before this or you won't understand everything. And MoA appreciates story readers. ^^

...This part was written mainly while listening This Moment Is Eternity by Nightwish...

Part 2 begins...

-----------------

It was self-evident for Fayza - the fact everything was always under her control. It had been like that her whole life, every single day until now.
Zyreus didn't do any fast moves of never talked louder than a whisper, but every time Fayza heard Zyreus' silent voice and saw his new gleaming eyes, she began to fear him more and more. Soon she didn't approach her pet any more than she had to, like to give some food to keep Zyreus alive.
Truth was, their roles were changing.

Fayza hadn't had any idea anybody could ever resist her...and now she couldn't just wipe away the one who caused this all. Zyreus's silent vengeful mind started frightening Fayza.
At the same time Zyreus' once so sane mind grew to hatred and revenge...

"I will take it back..." "You have something which is mine..."
Silent sentences by Zyreus were something Fayza started to dread. By nights the hippogriff sometimes sang silently - something without words but with an eerie tone, which created an absolutely spectral effect when echoing in the depths of the cave. Fayza couldn't sleep well.
Slowly and silently they both were falling.

One day Fayza just couldn't take it anymore and added some poison into the already dangerous drink she gave her pet, a bit more every day. But every day Zyreus was growing more and more immune to Fayza's potions. Actually they didn't even affect him anymore, but Zyreus had fallen so deep into revenge there was no way back. He had lost the most important things for him – his freedom, mind and honour – to this enchantress.

Then once when Fayza brought food for Zyreus, the male gryphon suddenly grabbed her hand. He squeezed Fayza's hand so hard that Fayza screamed in pain, feeling like her bones were going to break. Suddenly Zyreus let Fayza go, smirked, reared up and slashed the air in front of him - not even in meaning to strike because he would have hit had he meant it. But Fayza ran away as fast as she could. Her luck was that Zyreus was shackled up and the chain on the metal collar wasn't very long. After that event Fayza didn't dare to approach Zyreus anymore. Instead she forced one little unlucky salkahi from the village to take care of Zyreus daily.
When the salkahi - afraid of Zyreus because his mental change - approached the gryphon, Zyreus stared him and smirked, but not like he was going to squish the poor creature. Hippogriff almost smiled in an encouraging way: "Soon it will end...soon I will get back what is mine...and more…". The salkahi asked what did Zyreus meant, but the gryphon just silently stared through the creature.

Days went by.
Fayza was nervous like never before.
Zyreus seemed to have lost the rest of his sanity.

It was the evening of very dark and stormy night. Fayza could predict the weather pretty well - just a part of all skills she had learnt - and usually there wouldn't be any chance to get black enchantress outside when she sensed an upcoming storm. But right after darkness fell, Fayza took a piece of cloth and walked outside into beginning rain.
Zyreus was there staring at the stonewall when his caretaker salkahi arrived with some food. Villagers still remembered old Zyreus and made tasty food for him, eventhough there was something eerie about him nowadays. Zyreus turned his stare at the creature, insane gleam in his eyes brighter than ever before.
"This night, the ground burns and sky's flaming and I will take what is mine!"
Then he laughed. The creature left food there and walked away slowly.

Downpour was falling by midnight, but thunder coloured the dark grounds coloured with lightnings. Somewhere there was a little shelter hidden from other world. And there was a mother darker than any shadow of that forest, cradling her newborn child half black as night, half white as new snow.
And she hadn't loved anything before but her child. She looked at him with tired eyes. Tonight it would end, everything would end... But this child would be safe.

In the cave Zyreus pulled his chain with all powers he had. Or even better, he was going out. Out from this...everything!
He pulled and kicked and bit the chain, over and over again, like he had done before but now with all the anger and frustration and vengeful mind he had.
One metal snap echoed in the great cave.

A salkahi family heard knocking through the lightning crashes in night. An elder salkahi, patriarch of the village, had seen much in his life but when he opened the door, the scene that lay before him surprised him maybe more than anything ever had. In the rain stood the most frightening creature ever, the one who had kept the whole village under her control - Fayza. Before anybody said anything, Fayza quickly gave something to the elder salkahi.
"His name...will be Fekehér. Raise him to be better than I was."
That said, Fayza left to her cave. Salkahi was still confused what happened. He looked the little sleepy gryphon wrapped in warm blanket, and then into dark rain. As horrendous Fayza once was, now she seemed so fragile... Something was happening.

Fayza stood high above the entrance of her home, on the cliff. The cave, once inhabited by pure-blooded hellgriffs, would now be burnt down by the power of their kin.
Hellfire of hellgriffs was supernatural and more than dangerous substance. It wouldn't fade off with water, and it would burn everything and anything, killing living creatures by touch only. There was only one way to extinguish it, and it wouldn't be what Zyreus could do. He couldn’t do that, he wouldn’t know it, Fayza thought.
Fayza started her spellcasting, cursed the skies and darkness and light, finally breathing a purple flare down to earth, just in front of the entrance. As the stone began to burn, Fayza looked at it and smiled for herself, relieved. Zyreus would be gone for good.
"This night, the ground burns and sky's flaming and I will take what is mine!" Fayza suddenly heard a voice behind her. No, she thought. No...no, no...this...can't be...!!! How...?!
Zyreus walked slowly towards her. He smirked insanely and his eyes were full of vengeance. Broken chain rustled on the stone. Fayza screamed.
"...This can not BE...!?" Fayza stepped backward.
"Seems you do not have that one anymore..." Zyreus stepped forward.
Silence. Then Zyreus bellowed: "Answer! Where is it?! You know what I mean!"
"I... I do not have-"
"WHAT DID YOU DO!?!" This time it was pure rage in Zyreus' voice.
"He is fine, he is fine! Please stay there! He is among villagers now, nothing bad will happen anymore! Please, stay there...!"
"Ah...them." Zyreus smiled to the skies. "I remember them... They will grow our son good..."
Silent moment when Zyreus stared into sky and Fayza was so close the cliff, under it the hellfire spreading, she couldn't move anymore and was afraid like never before. She couldn’t fly in this weather, she could step neither back nor forth…
"Then WHAT IS THIS!?" Zyreus yelled beak pointing at the magenta and purple hellfire. "You know what it needs to be extinguished?! It is going down, to the village where OUR SON should live!!!"
"...you…you know it...?" Fayza stared at Zyreus with dried eyes, completely paralyzed. "You know hellfire-"
But there were no more words. Zyreus almost bounced towards Fayza, wrapping her in a deadly embrace as they fell down toward the flames.
"You started this game, my darling, and I will end it now! To the Heaven or to the Hell, I will follow you into far eternity! I want keep my honour which you once took, which you wanted so deeply, which you have now, and you with me!"
"Zyreus...!"
"And you dare to call me with my name now first time, after all abusing! But it is not over yet, now it all begins, our eternity together, mother of my son - Fayza, my beloved!"
"ZYREUS!!!"

That said, the flames surrounded them, eating their flesh faster than pain could be understood. Purple fire flashed into air, disappearing with a silent sigh.
Then there was nothing but rain.

Next morning was fresh and bright. Salkahis were looking around what really happened. There had been hellfire and then - silence.
Elder salkahi stared into sky, his own purple eyes reflecting turquoise realm. This was something called fate. This was one piece of history. Beside him his youngest daughter cradled young Fekehér - she didn’t have any own children yet and had already taken little gryphon to her care.
Sudden shout turned off his deep thoughts. One male salkahi asked for the elder to come quickly to see what had been found.
Side by side, there laid two whiteish gryphon skulls, one strong shaped, the other with small horns.
Elder looked up at the sky once again, watching the beautiful and soft clouds above. Younger salkahi wondered what this was, hellfire eats anything from it's way...right?
"I know one thing about it... Only a life voluntarily given to hellfire will extinguish it right away moment and for good. Fear and attampts at fleeing just feed it," the elder answered. Then he kept a short silent moment.
"May these restless souls find peace somewhere. Too fast fades life in the hands of fate."
Salkahis were quiet, respecting their elder's words.

Two skulls of two very different individuals lay side by side on a rock plate in the cave where hellfire once spread. An eerie purple light glow still lingers, but now there's peace. Salkahis took down all the skulls of Fayza's victims, giving them final peace. Fayza and Zyreus now spend their eternal rest together.

The End

----------------

The end...and the beginning. Their lifestory is over but there'll be the final part. Someday.

And whatta, I have a watermark? Just trying something after those text-only -watermarks. ... Needs a little modifying but...may be... |p

This story is just... I really think this story is beautiful even if that's sad for Zyreus and Fayza they died. But they will be always together.
That's one of your best history for me <3
I really like those two characters.

Bad beta is a baaaad DDX
But beta will get better.

Niiden ilmet on kivoja. Tai ainakin jos tulkitsin voitonriemun tms. ja hämmennyksen/järkytyksen/pelon oikein.

....what an awesome story. I'll be looking forward to the final part, should you really plan to bring it to existence.

Picture-wise, you really managed to convey their final moments. That strange, crazy and creepy smile on Zyreus's face combined with Fayza's OH SHI- expression must be my favourite part.

Wow...this whole piece is amazing. Story, picture...everything. :wow: I really like how different the two expressions are: Even without reading, it's easy to tell that the white gryphon is crazy, and the black gryphon's utterly STUNNED by what he's doing. The background behind it, which is one of your most well-written pieces ever, is ice cream mixed with cake. Very well-done! :D
