Someones call Purple Qilin the most eerie creature what they've ever seen. Anybody who asks "why" has most probably not seen it, or at least not seen how it uses surfaces, contours and silhouettes. Any normal creature can't use "wrong" surfaces as some solid matter, simply because it's impossible. Purple Qilin, though, seems refuse to respect any laws of physics and reality...

Pencil, aquarels, white ink. Full size is only 4A, so Purple Qilin was a such small thing to paint.
